MARQUETTE, Mich. - The cannabis industry continues to expand across the United States, with new dispensaries popping up in various states. One of the latest additions is Nirvana, a cannabis dispensary set to open in Northeast Ohio. "We wanted to create an environment that feels warm, inviting, and fosters a sense of community," says Vikani, a general contractor who worked on the design of the Nirvana dispensary. With a focus on creating a welcoming space for customers, Nirvana aims to provide a positive and inclusive experience for all who visit the dispensary.

Monroe Charter Township finds itself home to 18 cannabis businesses in and around the Monroe Factory Shops and the Monroe Premier. The addition of Nirvana to the area is expected to further boost the local economy and provide residents with access to high-quality cannabis products.

The project manager for the Nirvana Center said they hope to be operational, if able, in 90 days at 1007 Lapeer Ave., where a Pizza Hut was previously located. The opening of Nirvana will offer a range of cannabis products for both medical and recreational use, catering to the needs of a diverse customer base.

Residents of West Richland, WA voiced their concerns about allowing cannabis retail sales in the city at a recent city council hearing. Despite opposition, the decision on whether to permit cannabis sales is expected to be made on Nov. 21.
