Marijuana reform legislation continues to advance in several states, allowing for on-site consumption lounges and cannabis delivery services. The trend towards legalization has been gaining momentum in the past few years, and with the current state of affairs, more and more businesses are taking advantage of the opportunities it presents.

The ability to legally purchase and consume cannabis has opened the door for a new industry to emerge. Companies such as MARTIN, a state-sanctioned delivery business, have been able to take advantage of this new opportunity and provide reliable, quality cannabis products to customers.

MARTIN’s owner, Danny Teehee, was one of the first to capitalize on the new industry. A plot of land Teehee bought with the intention of one day building a house on it now sits next to a 10-acre weed farm. Since then, Teehee has been able to expand his business to other states, taking advantage of the legislation reforms and the growing acceptance of cannabis use.

The new legal status of cannabis products has allowed people to explore the potential health benefits of marijuana use. People who suffer from chronic pain, anxiety and other issues have found relief through cannabis use. “Loud noises, flash, rapid movements around me… It just catches me off guard and puts me into a defensive mode. With marijuana use, I don't experience that,” says MARTIN’s customer, Kayla Smith.

Lawmakers in many states are filing marijuana law reform bills in their legislatures, allowing for the legalization of recreational and medical marijuana. These bills also allow for on-site consumption lounges and cannabis delivery services. This reform has been largely beneficial for individuals and businesses alike, as it has provided an easy and legal way to purchase marijuana products.

The legalization of cannabis has also had a positive effect on the criminal justice system. “But let me be clear: legalization must include expungement for those in jail or who have served time for possessing small amounts of marijuana,” said California Senator Scott Wiener. This is a major step forward in the fight for justice reform and a more equitable criminal justice system.

For those who are interested in starting a cannabis delivery business, there are a few things to keep in mind. City ordinance allows a cannabis delivery company to deliver to and operate in certain areas. Furthermore, it is important to research the laws in the area and make sure that the company is abiding by all applicable regulations.

Additionally, it is important to find the right location for the business. MARTIN’s owner, Danny Teehee, recommends looking for a place with a large enough customer base to sustain the business. He also suggests looking into local zoning laws to make sure that the location is suitable for a cannabis delivery service.

Finally, it is important to find the right staff for the business. MARTIN’s first customer, Maurice Johnson, was delighted with the customer service he received shortly after it first opened and after looking around the shop, he knew he wanted to become a regular customer.

For those interested in taking advantage of the growing marijuana delivery industry, it is important to understand the legal implications and the potential benefits it can bring. For me, it's about repairing harm and righting those those wrongs and creating a more equitable society.
