I'm Traci Withani (trail name: Purple Lotus) and for years I've been obsessed with the Appalachian Trail. After some devastating pivots in my life, I decided to embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing by hiking the 2,200-mile trail from Georgia to Maine. The trail became my sanctuary, a place where I could find peace amidst the chaos of life.

San Jose has opened its first ever retail storefront for cannabis in the heart of downtown. For years the city had strict rules on where dispensaries could be located, but with changing attitudes towards cannabis, Purple Lotus found a prime spot to open its doors to the community. The new location has already seen a steady stream of customers eager to explore the variety of products available.

A cannabis dispensary that's opened its doors at a high-profile downtown San Jose site has helped bring customers, retail sales, and a new vibrant energy to the city center. Purple Lotus, a beloved community dispensary family-owned and operated since 2010, today announced the grand opening of its second location, further solidifying its presence in the cannabis industry.

Connect CRE sounded out CEO Matt Krishnamachari for insights on how the dispensary business has evolved since then.
