California-based cannabis and lifestyle brand Stiiizy announced this week that it is entering the regulated cannabis market in Illinois, offering its products in dispensaries across the state. Stiiizy is well-known for its high-end, premium cannabis products and is now the first California-based cannabis brand to sell products in Illinois.
The move to enter the Illinois market is part of Stiiizy’s larger strategy to expand nationally. Stiiizy already has a presence in California, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington and is looking to extend its reach further. The move to Illinois marks the first step in this expansion as Stiiizy looks to make its products available to more customers.
In Illinois, Stiiizy is offering its signature vape cartridges, pre-filled vape pods, and concentrates. The company has also partnered with local dispensaries to bring its products to the market. Of the 58 recreational cannabis retail licenses in Boston, 30 are for dispensaries that are now carrying Stiiizy products.
Stiiizy’s success in California has been well-documented. The company has been an active participant in the state’s cannabis industry since its legalization in 2016. Stiiizy currently operates a quarter of that number in California, which has legalized recreational marijuana. “It's taken us a while to get our arms around that,” said Stiiizy CEO, James Kim.
Stiiizy’s move to Illinois marks the first time the company has ventured outside of the west coast. The company believes that its products will be well-received in Illinois, despite the fact that the state has only recently legalized recreational marijuana. A newspaper ad campaign had urged readers to block legalization, declaring ‘Don’t California Our Oklahoma.’ “The faith community, I believe, and the majority of citizens in Oklahoma recognize the value of the industry,” said Kim.
The company has also been successful in other states. In New York, Stiiizy has been an active participant in the state’s cannabis industry since its legalization in 2014. SCHENECTADY — Two years after state lawmakers legalized marijuana for adult use, Stiiizy opened its first New York location with locations in Schenectady and Glenville a few years later.
In Washington, Stiiizy has been successful in obtaining licenses for its products. “We don't have the exact amount we revenued in recreational sales yet, but I can tell you it was close to 1 million just in the first month,” he said. Stiiizy is also looking to expand into other states, such as Massachusetts, where it is currently in the process of obtaining licenses for its products.
In Massachusetts, Stiiizy is also looking to expand its presence. The company recently announced that it is partnering with local dispensaries in the state. QUINCY − Ron Affsa and his team at Quincy Cannabis Co. have been working hard to meet the demand for their products, with the opening of their dispensary with three locations in the area among those receiving awards.
Stiiizy is also looking to expand its presence in other states. The company recently announced that it is entering the Missouri market, providing its products to dispensaries in the state.
