On the other side of the country, the Office of Marijuana Ventures & Entrepreneurship in Philadelphia is working to support Black-owned cannabis businesses. They recently joined forces with Nuggets Cannabis Co. to provide information, laws, and resources to help these businesses succeed.

While marijuana has been legalized in many states, there are still concerns about its safety and legal. In fact, a recent laws was filed against Innovative Industrial Properties, a cannabis REIT, over one of its main investments, Kings Garden. The laws raises questions about the transparency of the industry and the need for more oversight.

Despite the concerns, the marijuana industry continues to grow. In fact, 21 states across the US have legalized recreational marijuana and 37 states have allowed medical use. While Texas has yet to legal recreational use, it does allow medical use under certain conditions.
