Nate Norman was hanging out with his buddy Topher Clark when he came up with The Idea. The two friends were sitting around Nate's house, brainstorming ways to make some quick cash. Little did they know, this idea would lead them down a dangerous path that would ultimately change their lives forever.

The story is a wild one and sort of reminds me of Scarface; Norman being the teenaged white boy version of Tony Montana. As they delved deeper into the world of drug trafficking, Nate and Topher quickly realized the potential for huge profits. They started small, selling marijuana to their friends, but soon expanded their operation to include larger quantities and harder drugs.

Witnesses say a suspect shot and killed the victim, Topher Clark, after a fight inside of a Hayden bar. This tragic event marked the beginning of the end for Nate Norman. With his best friend gone, Nate was left to navigate the dangerous world of drug trafficking on his own.

There was a bit of a weed problem on the set of “Kid Cannabis.” The film, out Friday, tells the real-life tale of how 19-year-old Nate Norman became a major player in the drug trade. The movie sheds light on the dark underbelly of the drug world and the devastating consequences of getting involved in illegal activities.

HAYDEN – The victim identified in the deadly Sunday morning bar shooting was a convicted drug smuggler whose story inspired the film “Kid Cannabis.” The tragic end to his life serves as a cautionary tale for those who choose to walk down a dangerous path.
