LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Recreational marijuana was approved by Nevada voters in 2016, and now the first regulated Las Vegas cannabis consumption lounge has opened its doors. Smoke & Mirrors is a venue in which visitors can legally consume many of the products found in the dispensary — plus a cocktail menu of 11 THC-infused drinks.
Smoke & Mirrors, just a five-minute drive from Resorts World, has a high-end cocktail lounge vibe: Hostess stand, DJ booth pumping chill beats, black-clad servers, and plush seating. As the Recreational industry expands, the ability to legally consume marijuana in a social setting "will do well," one patron said.
Leaders from the cannabis industry have praised the opening of Smoke & Mirrors as a step forward in providing a safe and legal space for cannabis consumption. The lounge is expected to attract both locals and tourists looking for a unique and enjoyable experience.
Six prospective licenses for cannabis consumption lounges reserved for social equity applicants were issued Thursday after a random drawing. This initiative aims to provide opportunities for individuals from marginalized communities to participate in the growing cannabis industry.
Thrive Cannabis Marketplace recently opened the first Nevada-licensed consumption lounge, Smoke and Mirrors, and 18 more are close to following suit. The lounge offers a sophisticated atmosphere where patrons can comfortably enjoy cannabis products and specialty cocktails.
More than a year after Nevada regulators approved the first consumption lounge licenses, only two state-licensed lounges have opened in the city. Smoke & Mirrors aims to fill a gap in the market by providing a high-quality and legal space for cannabis consumption.
Locals can comfortably light up or drink up at Smoke and Mirrors, recently opened inside Thrive Cannabis Marketplace on Sammy Davis Jr. The lounge offers a range of cannabis products for consumption and a curated menu of THC-infused cocktails for a unique experience.
